1. Terms & Conditions Introduction
1.1 Welcome to Nibu Letterpress. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, www.nibuletterpress.com (“the Website”) and any purchase you make from Nibu Letterpress (“we”, “us”, “our” or “Nibu Letterpress”). Nibu Letterpress is a company registered in the United Kingdom.
1.2 By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our site.
1.3 Please note, we reserve the right to amend these Terms from time to time.
2. About Us
2.1 Nibu Letterpress is a letterpress studio based in London, UK. Studio visits are by appointment only.

3. Products
3.1 All our products are designed, handcrafted, and printed in our London studio. As our items are handmade, there may be slight variations in colour, texture, and finish. These variations are part of the artisanal process and are not considered faults.
3.2 We make every effort to ensure product descriptions, images, and pricing are accurate. However, minor discrepancies may occur.
3.3 Personalised and bespoke orders are made to the specifications provided by the client. Please note that for Bespoke orders, once final approval has been given, you cannot amend the order unless you pay for all the plates needed.
3.4 Our minimum order for any bespoke stationery service is 25 units.
4. Personalisation of Products
4.1 Please ensure that all content in a personalised order is correct (spelling, upper and lower cases etc.) as your order will be printed per your specifications. We cannot edit or cancel an order for a personalised product once it has been placed, so please double-check your order on screen before confirming your purchase.
4.2 Content Rules – we do not permit personalised products to include any content or material which:
4.2.1 infringes anyone’s copyright: in particular, you must ensure that you either own the copyright of any other content that you wish to include in a personalised product or that you are fully licensed by the copyright owner to include that content in the personalised product;
4.2.2 infringes any other rights, such as a trade mark, of any person or entity or a duty owed to any person or entity, such as a duty of confidentiality;
4.2.3 contravenes any applicable law (including, without limitation, any criminal law) or regulation;
4.2.4 is offensive, abusive, threatening or defamatory, or that might cause needless annoyance, inconvenience or distress to any person;
4.2.5 includes any material containing personally identifying information about another person, such as their address, phone number, or email address, except with the written approval of that person;
4.2.6 advocates, promotes or assists any unlawful act.
5. Pricing & Payment
5.1 All prices are listed in GBP (£) and include VAT.
5.2 Payment must be made in full at the time of purchase.
5.3 The total charges for the Products and delivery are listed on the checkout page and on the Order Confirmation Email.
5.4 When submitting your order, you warrant that all personal details you have provided are valid and accurate at the time.
5.5 For bespoke orders, a deposit of half the order price will be required before production begins, with the remaining balance due on delivery or collection day.
5.6 For bespoke orders, any request to alter a custom plate, either before or after printing, will incur an additional charge to cover the cost of producing all new plates.
5.7 We only accept payment through the payment methods advertised in the payment section of the checkout on www.nibuletterpress.com
5.8 All transactions are processed securely through trusted third-party payment providers. We do not store or have access to your full payment details.
6. Orders and Contract Formation
6.1 By placing an order, you are purchasing goods subject to these Terms.
6.2 A contract is formed once payment is successfully received and you receive an order confirmation email.
6.3 We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order if:
6.3.1 The product is out of stock;
6.3.2 There is an error in pricing or description; or
6.3.3 We have reason to believe the order is fraudulent or in breach of these Terms.
6.4 Please note that completed orders may be photographed and featured on our website or social media platforms. However, we will never publish images that include full names, personal addresses, or any other sensitive information, unless previously agreed and we have your written consent.
7. Shipping & Delivery
7.1 We currently ship within the UK and internationally. All shipments are tracked and registered by Royal Mail.
7.2 Dispatch times vary by product type:
7.2.1 Ready-made products: typically within 2–5 working days.
7.2.2 Bespoke and personalised orders take approximately 2–4 weeks, depending on complexity and studio schedule.
7.3 Delivery times depend on the destination and courier service. Nibu Letterpress is not liable for delays caused by postal services, customs, or events beyond our control.
7.4 During busy periods such as Christmas, we will set cut-off dates for orders based on national or international shipping. This will be announced on our website prior to the corresponding season, please check these dates to avoid any dissapointment.
7.5 Risk of loss and ownership of goods passes to you upon delivery.
8. Returns, Exchanges & Cancellations
8.1 Due to the personalised and handmade nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges on personalised or bespoke items.
8.2 For non-personalised items, returns may be accepted if the item is unused and in its original packaging within 14 days of delivery; please contact us at type@nibuletterpress.com for an exchange or refund. Please note that any shipping fees will be at your cost and your responsability to dispatch the items to us. After inspection we will notify you if an exchange or refund is possible. Any damaged items we recieve will not be accepted for a refund or exchange and any further actions needed will be discussed under these Terms.
8.3 If you receive a defective or incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of receipt at type@nibuletterpress.com so we can resolve the issue promptly. If the error is ours, we will reprint, handcraft and ship the order free of charge to the same postal address.
8.4 In the instance that a client submits an incorrect or undeliverable address, that gets accepted by someone other than themselves, or fails to collect their parcel from their post office within the given time frame, is the client’s responsability. Any delay in delivery because of these circumstances are not Nibu Letterpress’ reponsability.
8.5 In these instances, if your parcel is returned back to us, it is the client’s responsibility to pay any onward shipping fees to have the parcel resent or sent to an amended address. In the instance that your parcel is unable to be returned to us, you will not qualify for a refund.
9. Promotions
9.1 All promotions are applied to the value of the order, excluding delivery costs (unless specified) and are subject to our general Terms and Conditions.
9.2 All promotional codes must be applied by the Customer prior to completing the order for the discount to be deducted. Promotions cannot be applied to previously placed orders or orders placed after the promotion’s expiry date.
9.3 Unless stated, discounts cannot be combined and only one offer can be applied to any order, excluding sale items.
9.4 Nibu Letterpress reserves the right to exclude certain products from promotions.
9.5 Promotional codes are not transferable or redeemable for cash or credit (this includes gift cards).
9.6 Nibu Letterpress reserves the right to amend or withdraw a promotion at any time.
9.7 Nibu Letterpress shall not be liable for any financial loss arising out of the refusal, cancellation, or withdrawal of any promotion or any failure or inability of a Customer to take advantage of a promotion for any reason.
10. Intellectual Property
10.1 All designs, text, photographs, and other content on our website are the intellectual property of Nibu Letterpress and are protected by copyright and trademark laws.
10.2 You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any materials from our website or products without our prior written consent. Breaking this Term will lead to prosecution.
10.3 Our trademarks, trade names, and logos are protected and may not be used. Breaking this Term will lead to prosecution.
11. Privacy & Data Protection
11.1 We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.
11.2 Any personal information you provide will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
11.3 By using our Website, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Limitation of Liability
12.1 While we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of information on our Website, we make no guarantees that it is complete or error-free.
12.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nibu Letterpress shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or Website.
12.3 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any matter for which liability cannot be excluded under English law.
13. Engagement with our Customer Service Team
13.1 Our Team communicates in a polite, respectful and professional manner, and asks that you engage with us in the same way. Abusive language and threats will not be tolerated in any communications with any member of our Team, be it via email, over the phone, on Social Media or other methods. The use of inappropriate language may prevent you from recieveing further services.
14. Third-Party Links
14.1 Our Website may include links to external websites operated by third parties. We are not responsible for the content, views & values, or privacy practices of these external sites.
15. Governing Law
15.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance to English law. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction in relation to disputes arising in connection with these Terms. These Terms are offered in English only.
